PC Errors and What they Mean

Error Message: “STOP: 0x0000007B (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4) INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE” You may receive this error message when you start your windows XP computer. Boot sector virus, device driver problems, and malfunctioning hardware are some of the main causes of this error. PC errors may also occur if the boot volume on your hard disk is damaged or you are trying to install Windows XP on a volume that is not supported by Windows XP. To resolve the stop 0x0000007B error in this case, you will have to troubleshoot your system depending on the cause. For instance, first you may use a good antivirus tool to scan the boot sector for virus infections. 0x0000007B due to driver issues occurs when there is a problem with the driver of your boot controller. To resolve this issue, you may have to replace the problem driver with a driver that is compatible with your operating system. You may use a good hardware diagnostics tool to check your hardware for any problems. If you find a problem with a hardware, you may need to take required corrective measures to resolve the issue. If the problem is due to a damaged boot sector, you may connect your hard disk to another system and then run corrective tools, such as chkdsk to fix the damaged hard disk sectors. Using this utility, you can update the driver, uninstall the driver, or rollback a recent driver update that may be causing the errors. Additionally, you may use a good registry tool and scan your registry to fix any damaged driver-related entries within it. Error Message: “svchost.exe- Application Error The instruction at"0x7c918fea" referenced memory at "0x00000010.” The memory could not be "read.” Click on OK to terminate the program. Click on cancel to debug.” This svchost error usually occurs if there is a problem with a recently installed update on your computer. To resolve this error message, you may need to manually download and install updates on your computer. To do this, run the sysdm.cpl command, and then on the Automatic Updates tab, select the Turn off Automatic Updates command. Next, click OK and restart your PC. After the system starts, open the Start menu, point to All Programs and then select Windows Update to manually search for, download, and install Windows updates. After the update process is complete, you may restart your computer and re-enable the Automatic Updates feature.
